Register to Vote

Maryland allows online voter registration, same-day registration during early voting, and mail-in registration. You must be a U.S. citizen, a Maryland resident, and at least 16 years old (18 to vote).

Early Voting

2026-06-11 through June 19, 2026

Vote at any early voting center in your county. No excuse needed.

Election Day

2026-06-23 · 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Vote at your assigned polling place. Bring a valid ID if this is your first time voting.

Mail-in Ballot

Request by June 12, 2026

Any registered voter can request a mail-in ballot. No reason required.

Do I need to show ID to vote?

Maryland does not require photo ID for most voters. First-time voters who registered by mail may need to show ID.

You can change your party affiliation up to 21 days before the primary election.
